Schools should note that the increased cleaning allocations implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic, ceased on 9 December 2022.
Academic reporting
For academic reporting, schools will make reporting decisions based on what has been taught and assessed. The requirements for academic reporting are set out in the reporting to parents section of the K–12 curriculum assessment and reporting framework.
The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) will continue to monitor the impact of COVID-19 on senior secondary schooling and share relevant information, as required.
Continuity of learning
Schools are not required to provide home-based learning options, unless there are specific circumstances impacting a student’s attendance.
Students unable to attend school because they are sick are not expected to do schoolwork. However, schools may choose to provide access to resources, such as the
learning@home page External link, to help students continue their learning.
Where medical advice supports the need for a student to remain at home and still access their learning program, they should be supported by their school. The school's approach to learning for the student should consider the expected duration of absence, the student's learning needs, available tools and resources, and the school's established approach to supporting continuity of learning.
Boarding schools
Guidelines for the operation of state school-operated boarding facilities is available in the

Information regarding the operation of non-state boarding facilities should be obtained from the individual boarding school.
Excursions and camps
Excursion and camp risk assessments must be undertaken prior to approval of the activity. Risk assessments must take into account approved infection control measures should anyone attending the excursion or camp develop symptoms of an acute respiratory illness (e.g. influenza, respiratory syncytial virus, COVID-19) during the excursion or camp.
