The department is planning a new, purpose-built learning campus for Mount Isa's QPSC to meet curriculum and extra-curricular needs. To be located on repurposed land at Healy State School, the proposed development will be separate to the primary school, and is planned to open in Term 1 2025.
The Mount Isa QPSC campus would be located at the far end of the site, approximately 100 metres from the closest building and 190 metres from the main entrance at Healy State School. The proposed campus will have its own access and car park, and is not intended to impact on Healy State School operations when operational.
