Administrative access refers to the release of information by means other than a formal application under the Right to Information Act 2009 (Qld) (RTI Act).
You should request administrative access of the Department of Education (department) information first. If you make an application under the RTI Act that the department determines could be satisfied by administrative access, you may be referred to this process instead.
Your administrative access request should be made to the relevant school or department business unit under the department’s administrative access scheme. The relevant school or department business unit will respond to you in accordance with the process set out in the administrative access scheme.
You can access certain types of school documents directly from the school under the department’s access to records held in schools procedure.
For other documents, you can request access under the department’s administrative access scheme for central and regional offices. Charges may apply for a request for access to a document(s) that does not contain personal information of the person making the request (or of the person on whose behalf the request has been made).
