Evaluation plays an important role in the design and ongoing implementation of the department's initiatives. It helps us know if we are on the right track and delivering the outcomes we want to achieve in the best possible way for our clients. Evaluating our initiatives helps us to establish the:
- appropriateness: was it the right kind of initiative?
- effectiveness: did the initiative achieve what it set out to do?
- equity: did it deliver more equitable outcomes?
- efficiency: was there value for money?
Evaluation done well, helps us to learn and improve.
