Services
The early childhood education and care sector provides kindergarten programs through a variety of forms. This includes:
- long day care / limited hours care / occasional care
- kindergarten services
- state delivered kindergarten early childhood services
- eKindy
- early childhood development programs (ECDPs).

Enrolments
The department collects kindergarten enrolment information, which is available by age of children enrolled in kindergarten services at the time of the Early Childhood Education and Care Services Census.
Information is also available by Indigenous status, disability and non-English speaking background (NESB).
