Leanne is a senior executive with more than 35 years of dedicated service in the public sector, having held key executive leadership roles across the New South Wales, Northern Territory, and Queensland education systems. Throughout her career, she has driven transformative changes across some of Australia’s largest and most complex systems, including the largest education system with 2,200 sites, 800,000 students, and 80,000 staff. Her strategic oversight has significantly impacted operations and risk management in diverse environments, particularly in remote and disadvantaged communities.

Recognised for her innovative approaches, Leanne has successfully implemented a range of system-shifting programs that enhance outcomes and build system-wide capabilities. Her commitment to public service is evident in her ability to inspire teams, drive accountability, and foster cultures of continuous improvement. She is particularly skilled at navigating complex change and addressing the challenges faced by vulnerable cohorts, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and individuals with disabilities.

Leanne's extensive experience in governance, financial accountability, and stakeholder engagement positions her as a leader who champions educational excellence and advocates for equitable access to quality services for all children and young people across Queensland.
