Since joining the state school system in 1996, Stacie has served as a teacher, principal and system leader across urban, rural and remote communities throughout Queensland. Her experience spans primary and secondary education, with a strong focus on aligning policy, curriculum and teaching practice to meet the needs of local communities and improve student outcomes.
Recognised for her expertise in school improvement, effective teaching and educational leadership, system strategy and reform, Stacie is passionate about supporting teachers and school leaders to create high-quality learning environments where every student can thrive.
As Deputy Director-General, State Schools Strategy, Stacie leads key reforms and strategic initiatives that strengthen Queensland's state school system. Drawing on extensive frontline and executive leadership experience, she works collaboratively with educators, families and communities to ensure students are equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence to succeed in a changing world.
