For the past 12 months, the Queensland Government, together with Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council and key school community members has been working to develop a vision and identify short, medium and long-term educational improvements, new buildings and spaces for Cherbourg State School.
What may change at Cherbourg State School
The outcomes we hope to achieve are:
- short-term project(s)—within the next 3 years, identify and fund improvements to an existing space or building a new space
- medium-term project(s)—identify potential projects and seek future funding
- long-term project(s)—a 10+ year master plan for Cherbourg State School and seek future funding.

Please access the
information brochure which includes concept maps for Cherbourg State School to see our ideas.
Note: All proposed projects in the master plan are unfunded, except for the Buwu building.
