A new $15 million (including GST) purpose-built multi-storey learning centre at Mudgeeraba Special School is enabling students to prepare for post-school employment opportunities.

The two-storey building features 13 learning spaces, a multi-purpose skills area, a life skills kitchen, two lifts and an outdoor learning and play space.

These new facilities will allow the school to increase its senior school curriculum offerings to support four Certificate Courses, including the delivery of a Certificate 1 in Agrifoods. It will also support Junior Secondary skill development to ensure successful student transition to future career and recreational opportunities. The school’s Trade Training Centre for Horticulture will also operate in the new learning centre.

With strong historic bonds between the school and the community, the new multi-storey learning centre will enable the school to continue to create partnership pathways for students.
