Since 2025, the Queensland Government, together with key community members and school representatives, have been working to develop a vision and identify short-term, medium-term, and long-term educational improvements, new buildings and spaces for Northern Peninsula Area State College Injinoo junior campus, and Bamaga junior and senior campuses.
What may change at the Northern Peninsula Area State College?
The outcomes we hope to achieve are:
- a master plan for Injinoo junior campus
- a master plan for Bamaga junior campus
- a master plan for Bamaga senior campus
- a list of prioritised projects for each master plan, categorised into short-term, medium-term and long-term potential projects.
Note: All proposed projects in the master plans are unfunded.

Community engagement
Parents, carers and the local communities were invited to have their say on the draft master plan from Tuesday 4 August 2026 until Friday 28 August 2026.
