For the past 12 months, the Queensland Government, together with key community members and school representatives, has been working to develop a vision and identify stage 1, 2 and 3 educational improvements, new buildings and spaces for Tagai State College—Thursday Island campuses and kindergartens:
- Waybeni Buway Ngurpay Mudh (Thursday Island primary campus)
- Waybeni Koey Ngurpay Mudh (Thursday Island secondary campus)
- Kalaw Kaziw Mudh (Tamwoy kindergarten)
- Paru Kaziw Mudh (Milman St. kindergarten).
We would like to share these ideas with the community and get your feedback.
What may change at the Thursday Island campuses and kindergartens?
The outcomes we hope to achieve are:
- master plans for Waybeni Buway Ngurpay Mudh, Waybeni Koey Ngurpay Mudh, Kalaw Kaziw Mudh and Paru Kaziw Mudh
- a list of prioritised projects for each master plan, categorised into stage 1, stage 2 and stage 3 potential projects.
Note: All proposed projects in the master plans are unfunded.
